Janaina Ferreira da Silva Lima MD reports that Natalie Quintana of Miami, who suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (FSMA), was treated with adult stem cell therapy in Latin America by Dr. Fernandez Vina on 14 September 2007. Prior to the therapy, Natalie used two canes to support her weight with her shoulders. Recent electromyography studies indicate some muscles have regenerated.
